• A  very simple but extensive German to English Word List that is oriented to general as opposed to technical and specialized vocabulary.
• Business German Dictionary German-English and English-German. This site is under construction and the actual dictionary section often fails. Business terminology can be found, however, in the "View by Subject" section which lists terminology logically.
• The specialized Dictionary of the Hotel and Tourism Industry [Wörterbuch für Beherbergungsbetriebe und Reiseunternehmen] also lists words of interest to the tourist that are often not easily found: ADAC, Saftbar, Wallfahrtskirche, etc.
• Leo English/German Deutsch/Englisch Dictionary  The 180,000 entries cover the majority of standard items; weak on regionalisms. Converts from English to German and from German to English. German noun entries are not case sensitive
• Linguadict English/German Deutsch/Englisch Dictionary  is a new competitor for Leo as a general German/English English/German dictionary; a strong pont is that the results often display idioms associated with the word being looked up.
• Ogde is yet another new competitor in the online German English dictionary market.
• English-German Dictionary from the University of Dresden has approximately 185,000 entries and offers special buttons for umlauted vowels. Can also return a list of compound words containing the entered German basic word and shows the English equivalent for each of the compounds.
• English German Dictionary from the Berlin university community; alternative layout [e.g., instructions in "Berlinerisch"] but a standard bi-lingual dictionary.
• Lexicool Quick Dic English German / Geman English shorter dictionary
• No English, solely in German, is an ecclesiastical and religion dictionary at Lexikon Kirche und Religion from the Bishopric of Meissen.
